Book Launch Done and Dusted. Finally!

Many things to do with events have changed this year as well as many having been postponed and cancelled since the #pandemic began in early 2020. One of the things that changed for me was my book launch that was supposed to happen in April 2020 was postponed to this September. And it finally happened!

My book launch was held on Sunday 27 September 2020 after the April launch was cancelled due to COVID-19.

I launched two short stories and my debut novel in November and December 2019 on Amazon Kindle. The books are now available on both Amazon Kindle and selected bookstores. I was going to launch my debut novel, The Decision They Made, in April 2020, but due to #COVID19, it was postponed. My new launch date was Sunday 27 September 2020 and I was so pleased to finally launch and truly release my books to readers.

This is Mark, my graphic designer. He has helped me with all my book covers. You can check out more of his work on http://onthemarkdesign.com.au/

Being a self-published author and trying to find a home for my books to be sold has not been easy. I'd like to give a big thank you to Berkelouw Books Leichhardt for believing in my work and being the first bricks and mortar bookstore to stock my book. The launch was held in the upstairs room of their beautiful bookstore on Norton Street and it was an appropriate place to launch a book set in Italy - right in the middle of Sydney's Little Italy.

Berkelouw Books Leichhardt has a beautiful room upstairs. This is where my book launch was held. Due to COVID-19 we were only allowed forty people. It was still a lovely celebration.

Part of the marketing of my launch was being interviewed by the lovely Kel Butler of the W4W - Writing 4 Women podcast. You can listen to this interview by clicking this link -

The other way I promoted my launch was to produce bookmarks. I hand these out to all types of people I meet every day because on one side are all my details, they are a great promotional tool. The other thing I produced were promotional biscuits with the two book covers printed on them. Everyone was thrilled to receive two give-aways at the launch with many commenting on what a good idea the biscuits were.

I am happy to have finally launched my books. I have now signed on with a distributor and with their help, my books will be available on more devices soon.

Happy reading
